Combs Valley Campsite, beautiful views of the Peak District Hills and the Combs Reservoir.

Trains are rattling past but I quite like that, and aeroplanes for Manchester - but like that too.

Local news today, lovely farm cat was knocked down on the road, she had just moved her kittens and they cannot be found, we are all listening out for little mews so they can be rescued. I will try to resist taking one with me when I leave.

And more local news: The farmers hay put down to soak up the mud in the lane has been eaten by the cattle, oh what a surprise.

Realised that I need a bristly scrubbing brush to clean off my bike when it gets muddy, which it did today and some oil for the parts that move.

Today's DIY: fitted a bin to back of the habitation door, even used the spirit level !

Site observations: the sink area, which is outdoors but under cover, is very noisy as it is a metal sink and drainer, and the loo area is smelly - glad I am not pitched up down that end. The site has a yurt, shepherds hut and a cottage all to rent, brilliant.

There are two pubs in walking distance one to the left and one to the right, but not going as staying at a pub when I move on.
